Published by Hoardsy. We run a competition site too, so Hoardsy is never ranked here, but it sits in the table so you can compare. Facts link to each operator’s own pages: what the sites showed on 26 October 2026, and terms checked on 17 October 2026.
Elite Competitions has one of the biggest catalogues in the UK, from 3p daily draws to a £2.1 million home. Its current terms are strong on extensions and full prizes. People who leave usually want a fixed cash figure, stated chances or a smaller, simpler site.
Best Elite Competitions alternatives at a glance
- The same promises, car-led: Dream Car Giveaways. Clause 3.2 rules out extensions to sell more entries and clause 13.4 rules out minimum entries; car listings print a tax-free cash figure.
- Cash on every prize: Lucky Day Competitions. Clauses 3.2 and 11.3 match Elite on extensions and minimum entries, and its home page says a cash alternative is available for all prizes.
- Chances printed on instant listings: 7days Performance. A sampled scratch-format listing stated a 1-in-6.3 chance of any prize, alongside “No rollovers, no extensions.”
What Elite Competitions offers today
- Daily draws “From 3p”, auto-drawn at 10pm; a £2.1 million Dream Home Bundle at 19p a ticket with a £1.5 million cash alternative (66.9% sold when we looked); a £300,000 cash draw with five £20,000 runner-up prizes; and 1p instant products. Source
- Clause 6.9 rules out extensions and awards prizes in full regardless of entries; clause 6.11 keeps a separate power to cancel and refund. Source
- End draws normally use a live-streamed ball machine; instant winning numbers are set before a competition opens. Source

Why people look for an alternative to Elite Competitions
- You want a set cash figure. Elite’s terms describe a cash option “reasonably equivalent” to the prize when one is offered, not a fixed rule. Some sites put the cash on every listing.
- You want stated chances. Elite shows ticket caps and percentages sold. A few rivals print the chance of a prize on the listing itself.
- You want to check the draw yourself. A streamed ball machine shows the moment of the draw. It does not let you repeat the selection from a published list and number.
ASA record. On 6 May 2020 the ASA upheld complaints against Hydro Solutions Fylde Ltd, which trades as Elite Competitions, about an extended draw, a reduced prize and how free entry was explained. Read the full background in our Elite Competitions ASA ruling guide. Today’s clause 6.9 says the opposite on extensions. Read the ruling.

Elite Competitions alternatives ranked on their terms
For a broad catalogue, this ranking rewards written promises on the two things that most often change after you buy: the closing date (20 points) and the prize when sales are low (20). Usable chance information and free entry information earn 15 each; a documented selection method, a cheap verified ticket and a dated review record 10 each. Elite Competitions itself is left out, and so is Hoardsy, which publishes this page. A zero means the evidence was not found in the checked documents, not that an operator fails the test.
How the points work
- Closing-date certainty, 20 points. Full points for an explicit promise against extensions to sell more entries; half for a specified period with limited change provisions or countdown; zero where a commitment is unverified.
- Full prize whatever sells, 20 points. Full points only for an express commitment to award the prize or complete the draw regardless of sales. Zero for a shortfall clause or an unverified promise; the evidence distinguishes those cases.
- Usable chance information, 15 points. Full points for a numerical chance for a defined sampled outcome; half for a ticket cap and random selection; zero where neither is verified. Any-prize chances include small prizes and credit. This measures disclosure, not which site offers the greatest winning chance.
- Free entry information, 15 points. Full points for a published postal route and explicit equal-chance treatment; half for a verified route without equal-chance wording established; zero for an unverified route. Postal processing and visual prominence have not been audited.
- Documented selection method, 10 points. Full points for a locked entry record, subsequent independently public randomness and a reproducible check; half for a named random method or independent judging; zero if unverified. Half points do not imply unfair selection.
- Observed minimum ticket price, 10 points. Full points for an available verified ticket price of 10p or less, two thirds for 11p–50p, one third for 51p–£1, and zero above £1, when unverified, or when buying is closed. Planned prices do not earn current-price points.
- Dated public review record, 10 points. Full points for a public review profile claimed at least five years ago; half for a verified shorter record; zero if unverified or prelaunch. Stars do not affect points. Profile age is not audited trading history or proof of prize payments.
Where Hoardsy fits
Hoardsy fits if you want fewer, clearer promises rather than a bigger catalogue: the price and the chance of every prize on each competition page, no extensions for slow sales, no minimum sales, free postal entry with the same chance and a winner picked by a public drand number after entries lock, which you can check yourself.
Hoardsy is new, so it has no paid-winner history yet. Read what can be checked about Hoardsy today, how a draw is checked and the instant win games guide.
Before you switch
- Match the prize. Compare the same kind of prize at the same total spend, not headline values.
- Write down the cash figure. A printed amount beats a percentage or “reasonably equivalent”.
- Read two clauses. What happens to the date, and to the prize, if sales are slow. Our guides on extended draws and minimum sales explain what to look for.
- Check the free route. Every UK prize draw needs a free entry route; read its address, deadline and whether it gets the same chance. See the ASA rules on free entry.
Questions about Elite Competitions alternatives
What sites are similar to Elite Competitions?
Dream Car Giveaways and Lucky Day Competitions make the same written promises on extensions and minimum entries. 7days Performance prints chances on some instant listings. The scored table compares all of them.
Does Elite Competitions extend draws?
Its current clause 6.9 says there will be no extensions and prizes are awarded in full regardless of entries. A 2020 ASA ruling concerned an earlier promotion that was extended.
Does Elite Competitions offer a cash alternative?
Where one is offered, the terms describe a cash option reasonably equivalent to the prize. The £2.1 million home bundle we checked listed a £1.5 million cash alternative.
Is there an alternative to Elite with checkable draws?
Hoardsy locks every entry before a public drand random number picks the winner, and publishes what you need to repeat the selection.
