Hoardsy

Free postal entry

2 min read · By Hoardsy

Every competition can be entered free by post. No purchase is needed, and a postal ticket has exactly the same chances as a bought one.

Enter by post in four steps

  1. Write a card

Your name, your Hoardsy username or email, the competition and a reference of your own.

  2. Post it

First or second class. One entry per envelope.

  3. Beat the close

It must arrive before the competition’s published closing time.

  4. Get your ticket

Each accepted letter adds one ticket to your account, with the same chances as a bought one.

Where to send your letter

The postal address appears here, and on each draw’s page, before paid entries open. Until then there is nothing to buy and nothing to post.

  1. Your full name.
  2. Your Hoardsy username, or the email address on your account.
  3. The name of the competition.
  4. A reference of your own on the card, 6 to 64 letters or numbers (for example your initials and a number). It lets you find your card on the public record.

One entry per envelope. You can send as many envelopes as you like, each posted separately.

Equal chances

A postal ticket has the same chances as a bought one. Same instant prizes, same end-draw chance.

Each accepted letter adds one ticket to your account. A postal ticket has the same chances, the same instant prizes, and the same end-draw chance as a ticket bought at that competition’s ticket price. The entry is confirmed and locked before a later public number decides its result. The saved result appears in My entries.

Timing

A letter must arrive before the competition’s published closing time. Hoardsy records the time each letter arrives, so post early.
