Terms and conditions
Please read these account and website terms before registering. Each competition also has its own published entry terms.

1. Your agreement
These terms govern your use of Hoardsy at www.hoardsy.com and your account. Hoardsy is operated by Hoardsy Competitions Ltd. Contact details appear above. Each competition states whether entries are open. By selecting the acceptance checkbox when registering, you agree to these terms. Acknowledging the privacy policy confirms that you have read it; it does not give marketing consent.
2. Who may participate
You can create an account with a username and password. You may add and verify an email later for email sign-in and password recovery; your username, password and saved entries stay with the same account. Competition participation is for eligible adults aged 18 or over resident in England, Scotland or Wales, subject to the eligibility rules shown for the competition. Supply accurate information, use your own account and complete the required checks. Do not impersonate another person, evade a restriction, exploit an error or use multiple accounts to bypass entry limits or claim referral rewards. Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
3. Availability and free play
A listing does not mean entries are open. Check the current competition status. Until paid entries open, Hoardsy may run free play: accounts can add a free balance and use it to enter free-play rounds. The free balance has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn or transferred. Cash prizes won in free-play rounds are added to your free balance for further free play only. They are not paid out, cannot be claimed and do not create a right to a real payout. Free play ends when paid entries open; free balances, free-play entries and their results do not carry over. Participation depends on the current competition status.
4. Competition-specific terms
Before entering, read the competition’s operator details, eligibility, ticket price, maximum entries, per-person limit, opening and closing times, prize description, allocation or draw method, free postal entry route and fulfilment arrangements. Those published terms govern that competition; these general account terms do not replace them. If information is missing or unclear, contact Support before entering.
5. Entries
Review the quantity and total before confirming a purchase. Depositing money does not enter a competition. Your tickets are confirmed straight after checkout, each with one saved result.
6. Free entry by post
Every competition can be entered free by post. No purchase is needed.
How to enter. Send a letter by first or second class post to the address shown on the competition’s page. Include your full name, your Hoardsy username or the email address on your account, and the name of the competition. One entry per envelope. You may send more than one envelope, each posted separately.
Equal chances. Each accepted letter adds one ticket to your account. A postal ticket has the same chances, the same instant prizes and the same end-draw chance as a ticket bought at that competition’s ticket price. Its result is saved when it is confirmed and appears in My entries.
Timing. A letter must arrive before the competition’s published closing time. Hoardsy records the time each letter arrives.
Who can enter. You must be 18 or over, live in England, Scotland or Wales, and have a Hoardsy account that passes the same eligibility checks as a paid entry. Letters that are unreadable, incomplete, sent by a bulk or automated service, or that arrive after the close are not accepted. Hoardsy does not return letters. Read how free postal entry works. Terms saved with an earlier entry remain part of that entry record.
7. Results and prizes
Prizes are awarded in accordance with the laws of chance. Confirmed ticket results are recorded by the server. An animation reveals the recorded outcome and cannot change it. Replaying a saved result does not buy another ticket. A prize record is separate from a completed payout or delivery. Follow the claim instructions and eligibility checks displayed for your prize. The end draw takes place 30 minutes after the published closing time. Entries are locked before then, and the winner comes from the first public drand random number published at or after that moment, which nobody at Hoardsy controls. If the entry list cannot be locked in time, the draw takes place at the same time the next day. If a postal entry received by the close is still being checked, the draw runs at the same time the next day. Cash prizes are credited to your wallet and never expire. Claim an item prize within 60 days of being told you have won; if you have not, we credit its stated cash alternative to your wallet instead. Withdrawals and item deliveries reach you within 1 to 5 business days. Fulfilment and any advertised alternative are governed by the competition’s published terms. No unadvertised substitute is promised.
8. Wallet, refunds and withdrawals
Your wallet is a service balance for use on Hoardsy, not a bank account or investment. Available payment and withdrawal methods, fees if any, and required checks are shown before you confirm. Withdrawal requests may reserve funds while processed. Competitions with published chances: No refunds after entry, except if the competition is cancelled. Every result is saved when your entry is confirmed, so an entry cannot be refunded on its own. If a competition is cancelled, every order is refunded in full to your wallet; prizes already credited to your wallet are not taken back. For other competitions, if a competition is cancelled, the relevant terms and your statutory rights govern refunds. Contact Support about an incorrect charge or unresolved transaction. These terms do not remove any cancellation, refund or other rights you have under applicable consumer law.
9. Referral rewards
7p of every £1 of a friend’s cash entries funds all their referral rewards. The first £7.50 of it pays for £5 of promotional entry credit for the friend and £2.50 withdrawable cash for the inviter. A friend who joins with your link gets the £5 credit once, when their own cash entries reach £10. You get the £2.50 once, when their cash entries reach £100. Only the remainder builds as level commission, unlocking at £2.50, £6.25, £12.50, then doubling. Promotional credit cannot be withdrawn or transferred; prizes won with it follow the competition’s published prize terms. Promotional and postal entries earn no referral budget. Refunded or charged-back entries earn nothing. If a friend’s qualifying entries are refunded or charged back, or they share a card or identity with you, the £2.50 is taken back from your later earnings. Both accounts must be eligible. Self-referrals, shared cards and shared identities do not qualify. Commission can pause or end; previously earned unpaid commission is then paid. Relationships with cash entries or issued rewards recorded before this policy took effect retain their original thresholds and commission rules. Earlier issued rewards remain recorded and usable on their original terms.
10. Limits and taking a break
No monthly limit is configured by default. You can set spending and deposit limits in your account. Reductions apply immediately; increases and removal take effect after 24 hours. A six-month participation suspension cannot be ended early and blocks new entries and deposits, while history, support, refunds and eligible withdrawals remain available. Other eligibility, account or payment restrictions may also apply.
11. Fair use and service problems
Do not interfere with security, manipulate outcomes, misuse another person’s payment method or attempt unauthorised access. We may restrict activity to investigate fraud, protect users, enforce entry rules or meet legal obligations. We will treat existing balances and entries according to the applicable terms and law. Report a technical problem with the relevant order or transaction reference; do not repeat a payment solely because the interface did not update.
12. Closing an account
You can ask Support to close your account at any time. We may close your account with 30 days’ notice for any reason. We may close it straight away if you break these terms, use more than one account, act fraudulently or abusively, or the law requires it. When an account closes, we pay your cash balance and any prizes you have won to you after the usual checks. Tickets already confirmed stay valid, and any prize they win, including in a later end draw, is paid to you. Unused promotional credit has no cash value and ends when the account closes. If we suspect fraud, we may hold your balance while we investigate. Closing an account does not delete the records we must keep, as described in the privacy policy.
13. Liability and your rights
We are responsible for losses caused by our breach of these terms where those losses were reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence. These terms do not limit your statutory consumer rights. No competition entry guarantees a prize.
14. Contact, disputes and changes
Use Account → Support and the operator contact details above for complaints, account questions and privacy requests. Include the relevant reference where possible. We will record your request and respond through the available support channels. We acknowledge a complaint within 2 business days and send a final response within 14 days. The law of England and Wales governs these terms, without depriving consumers in Scotland or elsewhere of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in their local courts. Material changes will be published with a new version; changes will not retrospectively replace the terms saved for an existing entry.
