Every Hoardsy competition can be entered free by post. No purchase is needed, and a postal ticket has the same chances as one you buy.
How to enter
Write a letter with your full name, your Hoardsy username or the email address on your account, and the name of the competition. Post it by first or second class post to the address on the free entry page and on that competition’s page.
Check it arrived
Add a reference of your own to the card, 6 to 64 letters or numbers. Once your letter has arrived, type it into the public record lookup to see the date we received it and that it was logged before the public random number that picks the winner existed.
One entry per envelope
Each envelope is one entry. Once it is accepted, one ticket is added to your account. You can send more than one, each posted in its own envelope.
Same chances as a paid ticket
A postal ticket has the same chances, the same instant prizes, and the same end-draw chance as a ticket bought at the competition’s ticket price. The entry locks when confirmed. A later public number decides the result, which appears in My entries.
Timing
Your letter must arrive before the competition’s published closing time. Hoardsy records when each letter arrives, so post early.
Who can enter
You must be 18 or over, live in England, Scotland or Wales, and have a Hoardsy account that passes the same checks as a paid entry. Letters that are unreadable, incomplete, sent by a bulk or automated service, or that arrive after the close aren’t accepted, and letters aren’t returned.
What to look for on any site
A real free route is easy to find, costs only a stamp, and gives the same chance as paying. Read the terms and the guide to how UK prize draws work before you enter anywhere.
