Scratch nine spots and match three amounts to win. Here is every prize on the 50p Scratchcard and the chance of each, per ticket.
The prize table
This is the published table for the Scratchcard · 50p competition at 50p a ticket. Chances are per ticket. Counts are ceilings, not promises: a prize can run out before the competition closes.
- £100: 1 in 10,000 per ticket, up to 1 in the competition
- £20: 1 in 1,000 per ticket, up to 11 in the competition
- £5: 1 in 111 per ticket, up to 94 in the competition
- £25 site credit: 1 in 4,000 per ticket, up to 4 in the competition
- £1: 1 in 9.6 per ticket, up to 1,082 in the competition
- 50p: 1 in 2.8 per ticket, up to 3,681 in the competition
What the table adds up to
Adding the chances together, about 46.8% of tickets win something, roughly 1 in 2.1. Small wins count, including ones worth less than the 50p ticket price, so a win is not always a profit. The rest of tickets win nothing from the reveal.
How the Scratchcard reveal works
The card reveals a result a public random number decided seconds after you bought. Three matching amounts show the prize; a card with no prize never shows three of a kind. See the Scratchcard guide.
The end draw
Every ticket also goes into the £250 end draw: one fixed prize picked from all tickets after the close. The chance of winning it depends on how many tickets are in. See instant win vs end draw.
